The day our nation set aside
A time to honor all who’ve died
They gave their all for you and me
Home of the brave, land of the free
Countless battles and many wars
Their bodies sent home by the scores
Flag-draped coffins brought heroes home
Yet some of them remain unknown
Let us give thanks to each and all
Those who answered our nation’s call
For each conflict heroes fought in
May they never be forgotten
